The “MGI-PRESS 30/44” is a hydraulically driven gilding press, designed for gold and pastel printing on covers, cards, shopping bags, business cards, fabric, leather, plastic etc.
It consists of a 480 mm gooseneck; with a printing area of ??300x440 mm.
Hot stamping is a typographical technique which replaces wet and long-drying ink with a colored film with pastel or glossy, enamelled, metallic shades, etc.
The machine is equipped with a printing head heated by resistors: on which the cliché is applied (with the image or wording expressly chosen) and with the help of a
mechanical joint system, it presses the pigmented film onto the piece to be printed . The combined action of heat and pressure allows the pigmented film to leave the imprint of the cliché on the piece in the same color
as the film. Hot stamping will be different based on the support on which it is printed, it will depend on its shape (straight, curved, circular) and on the quantity of pieces to be decorated or marked.
